# 3) Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241 - Conspiracy Against Rights


     This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same)


# 4) Title 18, U.S.C., Section 242 - Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law


    This statute makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the U.S.

# 5) Title 18, U.S.C., Section 245 - Federally Protected Activities


     1) This statute prohibits willful injury, intimidation, or interference, or attempt to do so, by force or threat of force of any person or class of persons because of their activity as: B) a participant in any benefit, service, privilege, program, facility, or activity provided or administered by the United States; E) a participant in any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.


# 6) 18 U.S. Code § 1001. CH. 47—FRAUD & FALSE STATEMENTS or Entries Generally


     (a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—


     (1) Falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact; (2) Makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or (3) Makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry; Shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years


#7) 18 U.S. Code § 1349. Attempt & Conspiracy


Any person who attempts or conspires to commit any offense under this chapter shall be subject to the same penalties as those prescribed for the offense, the commission of which was the object of the attempt or conspiracy


#8) 42 U.S.C. ‘‘ADA Amendments Act of 2008’’

           SEC. 4. DISABILITY DEFINED AND RULES OF CONSTRUCTION.

            (a) DEFINITION OF DISABILITY.—Section 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12102) is amended to read as follows: ‘‘SEC. 3. DEFINITION OF DISABILITY. ‘‘As used in this Act:

           ‘‘(1) DISABILITY.—The term ‘disability’ means, with respect to an individual— ‘‘(A) a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities of such individual; ‘‘(B) a record of such an impairment; or ‘‘(C) being regarded as having such an impairment (as described in paragraph (3)).


           ‘‘(2) MAJOR LIFE ACTIVITIES.— ‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—For purposes of paragraph (1), major life activities include, but are not limited to, caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, seeing, hearing, eating, sleeping, walking, standing, lifting, bending, speaking, breathing, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, communicating, and working.

On March 30, 2017, the Board of Trustees of the State Bar of California filed a request for approval of comprehensive amendments to the California Rules of Professional Conduct. (Bus. & Prof. Code,§ 6076.) The submission included 70 new or amended rules. The request is granted in part and denied in part. Twenty-seven rules are approved as submitted by the StateBar
